The Face of Evil!

After reaching the end of the thread I was using to work on the top of Cthulhu's head, I decided I should really put some more work into his face, even though it's difficult and annoying. I actually made a bit of progress before reaching the end of that thread as well, and can probably do the rest of the face in one go, if I'm feeling particularly patient. I need to push onward, as there are only 5 weeks left until the retreat, and a whole lot of Cthulhu left in need of beads.

By the way, if you are a fan of Cthulhu, even when he's not covered in beads, you should probably check out the Indie Squid Kid blog, where they're having Cthulhu week!

  6. Dulcey, Snizeday is that magical extra day we all wish for, when we'd be allowed to sleep in and then have time for whatever fun projects we've had to put off so we could do more practical things.

SaraBeth, he's for the ugly beaded project contest at the Tahoe retreat. I could never put this much work into something and then swap it away! He's going to be 2 months of blood, sweat and tears.

Everyone else, thanks so much! Also, you guys should totally check out Myke's art, because it's awesome.

  7. Okay AJ! He's too cute to be in an ugly contest! He's too cute to be evil!
And might I add that I'm very impressed with the bead embroidery - knowing that it's not your type of beading, makes it all even more impressive!
    Cheers, Denise

  8. Thank you, Denise! I actually really enjoy bead embroidery for jewelry (I used it for my '09 BFAC), but this is my first time doing it on a form instead of a flat bit of cloth! It's challenging but fun.
