Tug of war.

Ugh. I feel like I have too many things to do, and that I can't focus on any one thing. I want to bead, but when I go into the beadroom, I see the mess and I start to try to clean and pack, but then there's no place to put things, or I can't get to where they belong, or I'm worried I might need it before we move...

So instead I spent most of today working on a character for a game that I don't even know if I want to play anymore.

I'm really not in a great state of mind today. I did go to B&N and finally pick up Iron Council (the next Mieville book). I think I might go start reading it, which pretty much guarantees that I won't feel like packing or gaming or beading.

Willpower? What's that?

  1. Won'tpower! Seriously, maybe you should lay out a schedule for packing, including taking stuff to the thrift shop. Sometimes just having it on paper, even if you have to change it, helps with getting it done.

  2. Won'tpower about sums it up!

I've been thinking about starting a daily to-do list. I've heard it works well for people like me.

  3. I'm pretty organized, but I still use a schedule. Not like I did when I worked, but just a list of the days of the week and what's to be done on each, and then things get added or moved around.

I do this on paper, btw. I get a lot of paper that doesn't have to be filed or shredded and has one side blank and I tear it into quarters so I at least use it up before I recycle it.

  4. I've got a couple of notepads that I'll probably use, but using scrap paper is good, too! I mostly use it for keeping track of number stuff for games :)
