I just wanted to let everyone know that Daisy is out of surgery and we're going to go pick her up from the vet in about half an hour. Now begins the fun of keeping her from worrying her stitches! Better go get the e-collar out of the pet cabinet.
Maggie seems pretty unhappy about Daisy's absence. First we took Daisy on a car ride without her, then we came home sans Daisy! Her puppy mind must be boggled. I've made sure to take several breaks today just to cuddle with her on the couch.
I hope she recovers quickly! Does she have to wear the lampshade?
ReplyDeleteYeah, dogs always get confused when you take the other one away. When my mom took the puppy in to get fixed last month, said puppy was gone for over a day and the older dog couldn't figure out where she vanished off to, and got all mopey.
She's wearing the lampshade, and her sister is terrified of it!
ReplyDeleteDaisy doesn't seem to realize that she's injured... she's charging around the house, jumping on furniture, being her usual crazy self. And she thinks that her meds are treats ;)
Well, Daisy seems like she's doing well! Maggie will probably figure out who it is soon. A lot of cats won't welcome home a cat from the vet because they smell funny.
ReplyDeletelol! Her poor sister! That's funny that Daisy is still crazy- that's a good thing, though. :)
ReplyDeleteMarilee, Maggie recognizes her, and is fine with her if the cone is off, or even if she's standing still, but if Daisy moves, Maggie is all "RUN AWAY!!!!" because she remembers getting bonked in the past.
ReplyDeleteMeri, I'm not sure there's a force on this planet that can stop Daisy from being crazy.
