You may remember that in February, MZ gave me one of her new beetle cabochons to work into a bead-embroidered pendant, so she could inspire prospective customers. Here's what I came up with, using Delicas, Japanese seed beads and some Czech three-cut seed beads. I really enjoyed working with the bright color palette in this cab, it's pretty far out of my usual muted olive and bronze palette :) For more beautiful lampwork, please visit MZ Glass. For more bead embroidery, visit my shop, Handmade Jewelry by Erthe Fae Designs.
This is not in your Etsy shop. Not that I can buy it until I get my check (and know the price).
ReplyDelete(The word for this is "under"!)
Oh wow, this is so pretty! I love the colors! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Marilee, I made it for MZ, not my shop. If you'd like one similar I'll get a cab in this colorway from her next time she has one available :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meri! Aren't the colors perfect for Summer?
You have made me a very sad Cara. Because this pendant is not mine, and never WILL be mine, and it's perfect and I love it so now I'm gonna go pout.
ReplyDelete:: pout pout :: Meanie.
(It really is gorgeous!)
You know all... there's like 87 pieces of other jewelry in my shop... are they all chopped liver? ;) LOL. I guess I need to get more of MZ's work into my shop!
ReplyDeleteI like bugs (although Junie eats them around here) and I like those colors. I don't see any others in your stop.
ReplyDeleteOk, got it. More bugs and more bright colors! :)
ReplyDeleteOkay that is an awesome bead!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dot! MZ does such awesome work. I'm glad she lives in Tucson so I get to see her and her beads in person quite often!
ReplyDeletelove bugs. the beadwork shows up as particularly fine on this piece!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie! I'll have to let MZ know how much you all are loving her bug!
ReplyDeleteThis beetle is simply wonderful and the colors you used around it are perfect. I'd love to find out who MZ is and get a beetle for myself.
ReplyDeleteLinda, MZ is Margaret Zinser a lampworker based in Tucson. You can find more of her work at http://www.mzglass.com although I think the site is probably overdue for an update :)
