Achoo

I had to stay home from my dance classes today, due to still being sick. It's an annoying feeling, knowing that I missed out on fun and learning due to some stupid germs, and now next week I'll have to work hard to catch up.

There's not really much else to say, I didn't do anything today. Hopefully all this rest/laziness means that I'll be better tomorrow, maybe I'll even finally go back to the gym.

No Thursday Thirteen this week

I did a "25 random things about me" over on Facebook today, so I don't really feel like coming up with a list of 13 things for today.

Actually, I'm downright lazy today. I've spent the day at my computer, wearing fleece pajama pants, catching up with an old friend who I hadn't spoken to in years. Sometimes, you just need to have a day like that.

I can't believe it's only a week until Christmas! Of course, my family doesn't really do Christmas, and I'll be spending the day at a friend's house sitting her dogs... but hey, it's only two weeks until New Years Day, when we do exchange gifts. I still need to find one more gift for Chris, and then start wrapping everything. I don't have a whole lot to wrap this year, as we purchased fewer gifts than usual (a few nice gifts instead of a lot of silly gifts, basically).

And now, back to being lazy.

Just popping in

I wasn't feeling great today, so I spent most of the day kicking back and reading a book. Then I went out with my family to celebrate my Dad's birthday, and I ate chocolate cheesecake, and that make me feel a bit better. But now I am going to once more kick back, because the first disc of Doctor Who Season 4 arrived in today's mail, and watching that is more fun than blogging.

Tomorrow I should have Snowdrop ready, however!

I took the day off.

Aside from necessary housework, nothing got done today. I don't know what happened. I thought I slept well last night, but I was absolutely exhausted today. Chris was really tired, too, so I suspect there must have been something that interfered with our sleep. Whatever it was, I spent half the day with a headache and couldn't focus on anything, and then I took a nap with Chris after he got done with work. I usually can't sleep during the day, so I must have been tired.

With any luck, tomorrow will be better. I'd like to finish Locked Away!

Summer Doldrums.

Ugh. The same thing happened to me last year. The heat hits and I just turn into a zombie. I'm sorry to have acted like I fell off the face of the universe. The truth is that I haven't beaded in a week and I was ashamed to come here and admit that I haven't been updating the website, or making jewelry to sell, or really doing anything other than impersonating a rock.

I'm slowly adjusting, and I'm determined not to let myself laze around and let the site suffer because of it. Thanks for your patience with me.

There will not be a website update this weekend. A very good friend of ours is coming to visit, we only get to see him for a few days a year, so Chris and I will definitely be chilling out with him and our mutual friends. On Sunday our plan is to get a TON of us together and go out for teppenyaki at our favorite Japanese restaurant. Some of the people invited have never even been there before, so it's going to be quite the treat for them.

I'll try to update during the week, but Chris is going to be home most of the time and we have a lot of plans, including a 4th of July potluck and lots of gaming on Friday. There WILL be a big holiday sale, though, even if there isn't new jewelry, and I am going to settle down and make stuff so that when I do finally update, it will rock.

Ok, I have a shameful confession to make... Instead of doing today's website update, I spent the afternoon and evening playing video games with my husband. Pretty immature of me, I know, but after both of us worked hard all week and then spent the first half of the day doing errands out in the heat, I couldn't bring myself to get enthusiastic about more work.

Go ahead and shake your finger at me if you have to... I earned it. But I promise lots of lovely jewelry for next week's update, and maybe some other bonuses!
