Closed for the holidays!

Erthe Fae Designs is now closed for the holidays! The one exception to this is if you're in Tucson and want to arrange an in-person meet-up to receive your jewelry. Otherwise, I will be avoiding the Post Office until the 27th. I do so hate lines.

I was so excited earlier, because I thought I was all done with my holiday shopping... but then I discovered that my husband's main gift was $15 less than I had budgeted for, so I have to buy him one more little present. Not sure what I'll get him, and I can't even discuss ideas here, because he reads my blog. Hey Chris! Want to drop some hints? Yeah, I didn't think so.

My parents randomly decided to have a Christmas tree this year, so I think I might break out my polyclay and make them an ornament tomorrow. I can't make a beaded one, because their young Siamese-mix kitty Loki likes to play with the tree. Silly Loki! My parents deserve a special ornament, because Dad came over here at 8 o clock last night to fix our furnace, thus saving us from a very cold night. Hooray for Dad! He rocks!

Sick again.

I've come down with another cold. Yay, nasal congestion. Since I have some things that I need to do this week, regardless of being sick, I probably won't get around to updating the website.

I did get some good work done on Locked Away last night when I was feeling fine, so I'll probably post it tomorrow.

I have dog-sitting and a trip to CA to see family coming up, so I can't even really consider in-person delivery if you're in Tucson. The next ten days are just too chaotic!

I've been playing with my Earthenwood beads. I had trouble yesterday with not being able to match seed beads to the glazes... but tonight I strung a cute necklace with a pixie face. I'll definitely work on more things during my little holiday vacation, so that I can have a great update when I get back.

Due to the above-mentioned sitting and traveling, blog posts will of course be sporadic! Hopefully our hotel in CA will have Wi-Fi!

Great big sale going on now!

Today I started my big sale. It's not actually a moving sale -- got at least a few more months of saving up to do, as it turns out. It's more like a "Making room for my awesome Autumn collection" sale, because the website was getting a little, well, over-stocked.

Things are very busy for me right now. In a little over 2 weeks, I'm leaving for my annual visit to NY to see the in-laws. My first two days there will be spent at a wedding. I still need to buy a dress for said wedding, and then make gorgeous jewelry to go with it. And before I leave, I need to photograph all of the 2008 LL-BFAC projects I've received and mail them back out. I don't feel comfortable with leaving other peoples' artwork in my home while I'm gone for a couple of weeks. And of course, I have lots of other little things to take care of, including jury duty on the 30th. Never a dull moment...

Because of this, I'm taking a small hiatus from weekly updates. During this time I will be putting more of the current stock on sale, doing general maintenance, and probably adding some items to the Gallery. I will also be beading new jewelry. On August 25th, once I've had a little time to recover from my trip, I will unveil the start of my Autumn collection. Expect to see soft neutrals and rich earth tones.

Coincidentally, my big sale will also run until the 25th! I kicked it off today by marking down all of my Crystal Bracelets to $45 from $60, and discounting some assorted necklaces. I intend to put a few more things on special, but there was a thunderstorm overhead so I had to shut down ;) I'll certainly post sale updates here.
